Hi Gang,
Garage sale time...need space in the garage(see pic, youll understand)LOL
1974 El Camino SS (real SS) was factory 454 4-speed, now has 69 396-375. 454 was a wheezy dog anyway. 396 runs like a striped ape!
New: clutch, complete front end, brakes, exhaust, quarters, paint, tires. Runs and drives very well. Could use new bed floor. Frame mint and underbody very solid but could use detailing. No winters...no surprise, ever try driving a BB 4 speed even in the rain...imagine snow WhEeEee *CRASH*
Interior in good shape, again could use detailing. Swivel buckets, AC(disconnected), PW, PDL, tilt wheel. Door panels have speakers in them (ugh, I know, was like that when I got it.) Upside: great sound system.
Drivetrain is in great shape, rearend is a 10-bolt posi. I think it must be high gears (3.42 maybe), this thing does 50 mph in 1st at 6000 RPM. No, I dont know what it-ll do flat out in 4th.. I run out of brave before I run out of RPM.
Paint is metallic gunmetal with silver SS stripes (not vinyl, paint.) and could use a colour sand and polish to really pop. Paint has less than 1000 kms on it.
Missing the RR roof chrome trim corner and the RR quarter panel marker light.. guess someone needed them more than me.
Not a show car but a very complete real SS. I just use it to cruise and blow the doors off new Mustangs and Z28s. Love the looks on their faces when this pickup truck goes by them like theyre tied to the dock. :)
Asking 8500, and will deliver the car to the Windsor-Detroit border for US buyers. Clean and clear title.
Thanks!http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoMain.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/Camino396.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoInt.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoPass.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoConsole.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoR.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoVIN.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoR.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CamnioFrt.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoDash.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoPassInt.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/CaminoDrPnl.jpghttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee286/JimmyGTO_photos/Garage.jpg
