Hi Chad,
I live in Upper Marlboro, MD near AAFB. I own an '87 SS Elky. We have a local Chevelle / El Camino club, called the Maryland Chevelle Club. You can check us out at:
http://www.chevelles.net/mcc/index.html
We have monthly club meetings, cruises, shows, and lots of fun. :-D And you do not have to live in MD to be a member or attend functions. 8) We also have alot of places locally that you can meet weekly with other gearheads.
Here are a couple of web sites for VA Chevelle / El Camino clubs that you might wanna also check out:

I haven't been to any of thier VA club events, but I would think you could connect with their members as well. I mean gearheads are pretty much the same anywhere you go brother. Between these three clubs you ought to find plenty to do in your spare time! Good luck with your move, and drop me a line or two sometime.

Hey Chad,
There are quite a few events in VA. In the Richmond area there is an AACA event in June at RIR, Super Chevy Show in Petersburg, lots of car stuff in the tidewater area. Let me know when you get settled and I'll meet up with you at a couple of shows.
Carlisle has a lot of shows throughout the season and is 220 miles from Richmond. I make it to at least 2 of those.

Hey Andy, i put those websites in my favorites. And Marlboro is only like 3 1/2 hours from norfolk, i could definetly take a cruise for some car functions. its great to get the hot rod out on the open road, so....
on that note, im driving my 72 from Pensacola FL to Jacksonville FL and then on up to Norfolk VA. its gonna be great!
And Jim, i will keep in touch. i'm excited about getting into some shows and groups when i get up there.
Thanks for the info fellas, send any more my way, please!!
I'll be up in Norfolk the beginning of December.
I'm looking forward to meeting ya'll and being apart of the events, well so long as im not out to sea!!
