: "The Cover of the Rolling Stone"
mgs72elky 11-05-2007, 05:09 PM No. actually this is better, I'm honored to be featured on not just the best Elky site, but the best enthusiast site on the net. Thanks for considering my Elk. Now if I could just get that Dr. Hook song out of my head! Thanks again....
Poltergeist 11-05-2007, 05:57 PM It was an easy choice. 8)
hemi57 11-05-2007, 08:37 PM Mark, I am sure I have said it before but, your El Camino is one of my favourites. A real beaut ute.
Kiwi Connection 11-06-2007, 12:20 PM Love the car and picture. Well deserved. :)
mgs72elky 11-06-2007, 07:37 PM Rob, John, & Maree, Thanks for the compliments guys, but you all probably heard that I'm old, disabled, and ugly, so your just trying to make me feel better....Thanks guys.
Kiwi Connection 11-06-2007, 08:04 PM gee. Was it that obvious!!
Just kidding. Stop being so modest and just accept the praise.
dougs85 11-06-2007, 08:55 PM Congratulations Mark, love your Elky and the photo.
Doug
84 Elky 11-07-2007, 03:38 AM . . . . I'm old, disabled, and ugly, ....
HEY! I'm all those things also - and they didn't pick me! Soo, "MUST" be something to do with that GORGEOUS vehicle of yours. . . .(just my guess tho. . . . .)
mnunn 11-07-2007, 05:00 PM Congrats Mark. Well deserved.
Perhaps instead of the Dr. Hook song, a more appropriate thread title would be "Beauty and the Beast"? :P Just messing with you.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
Pro Street Garry 11-07-2007, 06:25 PM Congrats Mark! http://www.scaldinghot.com/Boardpics/applause.gif
Hope to see you and your Elky next year!
Garry
Quintonsdusty 11-07-2007, 09:49 PM Congratulations Mark! She looks good in the 2008 calendar as well.
Jim
mgs72elky 11-09-2007, 04:31 AM Doug, Scott, Garry, Jim, and last but not least Mike, Thanks for the compliments guys. The feature pic was taken at a local beach and was about 90 degrees, and as I write this it's 29 degrees out and winter is not in full swing yet. Man, is it 'April' yet? Thanks guys...
84 Elky 11-09-2007, 08:07 AM Know what you are saying about the weather Mark. Was 33 here this morning, and I'm wwwaaayyy further South than you. . . 8O In fact, they are having the last cruise of the season tomorrow, and then we have a Vet's day Motorcycle ride on Sunday. . . (plan on freezing my buns off, on that one. . . )
I remember this summer during those 102/105 degree days, thinking, I could use a little fall/winter. Well, it's not even really here yet, and I'm wondering when spring/summer will be here.
Maybe next year, you can venture a "little" further South and I can venture a "little" further North for some kind of weekend show. I would love to see that car of yours in person. . . 8)
Hope your winter isn't tooooo bad, and you don't have to shovel too much snow. That's one nice thing about here - if it snows, just turn the thermo up a little, and it will all melt and be gone in a couple days. . . 8) 8)
Bowtie 11-09-2007, 10:49 AM All Elky's should look that good. Don't get any salt on that baby!
Take care.
hemi57 11-09-2007, 10:56 PM  You NA members talking about heading into winter. Here we are heading into summer and winter is cool but not too cold. Never any snow, that's for sure.
mgs72elky 11-10-2007, 11:59 PM Greg, Thanks for complimenting my Elk. And no, she'll never see any salt. She's only seen rain twice, and I was B.S. both times. Jim, that's a beautiful shot of your Elk in the calendar also, nice setting. If I missed thanking anyone, it was purely by stupidity. What a great site and crew this is....
