Ok guys, what do yall think? I have a mild 350(350 hp). I was going to go with a Bowtie overdrive 2004R conversion kit, $2201 shipped to my door. This is for everything including a crossmember. The GV unit is about $2500 plus cutting the driveshaft. The GV unit sounds solid, and maby a lil more fun. I don't know anyone with one tho. What do yall think?
also I plan on 3.73 gears.

GV unit will keep the rpm much closer throughout the gear changes so the performance should be better than a 200R4. The GV unit will also take more HP than a 200R4 but you would be fine with the 200

the gv unit will make you car actually quicker and is bullet proof you get six speeds three "overdrives" instead of 3 and one overdrive lol you will regret not spending a little more they really are worth the bucks..my bud put one in his 73 camaro awsome piece. also you will get better gas milage than with the other tranny to boot! 8O i was gonna do a gv unit but i went the pro touring route so i wanted with a manual.

the GV unit is an add on and will work with the automatic or standard ----but--- if it breaks you cannot get it serviced by anyone but GV and they are proud of their work--as in $$$$$$$$$----ask me how I know---I favor the th2004r or th700r4 route...........Dan

i doubt you could break it with 350 hp though.. and it has a two year warrenty..a basic unit is rated at more than 700hp and you can get them all the way up to past 1500hp and beyond

Thanks for yalls thoughts. I think I'll go the 2004R rout after all. Overall it will be cheaper than the GV, and this project is getting way out of controll $$$ wise.
