I bought a new in the box spoiler for my Elky i had it painted and when i went to install it. It seems to be about 1/2" to 3/4" too wide. I have a gap on both sides between it and the fenders. Anyone else have this problem?

Does it meet well at the top of the fenders? If it does then a little gap at the bottom is ok.

Can you post a pic of the gap?

Well i have since found out some of the spoilers have a tab at the top front that allows you to put a screw into the front of the fender well and hold it in flush.

But as usual for me the one i bought does not have the tabs so i have the gap at the top. It is not to bad about 3/8" at the front. I guess i will just have to live with that.

If the Air Dam is a factory piece, it should have an inverted "pocket" inside the top edge with two slots in it where the top edge meets the fender. There is a plate with two threaded studs that fits into this pocket. You will have to drill holes to match the studs in the plate and nuts go on from behind the fender, drawing it in and making the connecting hardware invisible. If you did not get the stud plates with the Air Dam, it would not be hard to fabricate with a piece of sheet metal, some threaded rod and a welder.

Does anyone know if the fender mounting plates are still available anywhere?
