Need help. Looking for trim tag or RPO tag on 85 Conquista.
Have vin tag and have checked it on the vin decoder on this site.
I thought I read somewhere here that the Trim tag/label was in the glove box (no) or behind right seat (?). I have found a Service Parts Label in the jam area of the left door, but can only make out a couple of numbers.
Is this the label I am looking for? Is there another one in a different location?
Will the 50 buck sheet that you can order tell me all the info that would be shown on the label?
Thanks

This may be of some help, Butch.

The info you can oder is only a copy of the dealer invoice which shows who the dealer was, the VIN, the date of shipping, factory installed options, dealer and MSRP prices and other things.. That is all they ever kept. Keeping billions of records is a very costly endeavor and GM left that to an outside vendor to micro-film the records and furnish them for a fee to cover the costs of reproduction and storage.
It will not list all the options codes that the service parts label would.
It should tell you exactly what the car was and would be a valuable document to authenticate the vehicle if you think it something special.
Yes, 1985 it would on the drivers door. If it damaged, you are SOL. You cannot get a replacement.

Thanks for your reply. Would the Shipping Invoice show RPO codes for colors, trim and all the options on this particular truck.
I need the color RPOs especially. My 60 something eyes can't decide if its
Gray or a funny shade of Blue on the inside. Truck was repainted years ago two tone gray on the exterior.
Thanks again

It should give the color name and color code.
Interior colors yes but codes? I just cannot remember what was on the one I received for my 92 pu. I left it in the truck when I sold it this summer.
Here is an example of an invoice
