This is an actual ad from the January 04 Hemmings Motor News:
"EL CAMINO - Caballero: 1983, the rarest El Camino ever built, serial #00054, first diesel built, I special ordered this truck July 1982, original owner, have all original paperwork, needs total restoration, $10,900."
What do you think? Does this guy have farts for brains or what?

Needs restoration? $10,900 dollars? Rarest of the rare? Hmmmm...I think this guy has been snorting to many diesel fumes up his nose...or something! (Oops maybe he is a member of ECC, what was I thinking)

Twas' the rarest of Elkys, we've been told
Other claims we've heard, but none so bold
It needed restoring for a cost that I dread
And visions of diesel fumes danced in his head
With a little old driver, so lively and slick
I knew in a moment it must be a trick
His clothes were all tarnished with diesel and soot
It gave me to know he was pulling my foot
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When he meets an inspection station, pass he must try
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the Elky's fluids; then turned with a jerk,
He sprang to the driver's seat, to his diesel gave a twist,

The Diablo is the GMC Caballero graphics package, much like the early 5th generation El Camino's Black/Royal Knight graphics package.

The Diablo has a flaming devil like face on the hood. the word "Diablo" on the doors and tailgate. If you want to know more, contact GMC Diablo, aka Diablo Doug. I'll try to get a pic up sometime. I can't get it to copy and paste right now.
