New guy here, Dave from Tn. Just found your site. I've had my 65 for over 22 years now, just finished up a frame off rebuild/ upgrade as a street/strip deal a couple months ago. So who else here drag races their Camino? What ya got? Is it OK to post pics in threads here?

Welcome to the site Dave. And yes, you post in the thread and better yet, start building a portfolio in "Members Cars." If you haven't checked them out yet, you need to, lots of em there.

Thanks, I put up an album in the 2nd gen gallery. Bear in mind, it IS a street driven pump gas car on DOT drag radials that gets raced at the track only. Best ET on pump gas and DOTs is 5.81 at 123 in the eighth with only ten runs on it. I'll try for better on good gas and slicks next year.

Thanks guys. Some quick details include custom Cr-Mo cage. 540 in BBC with Procharger F2, made 1205 Hp on 93 octane. I backed it off from that tuneup to get a handle on the suspension. I'll be turning it back up next spring for racing season now that I know it goes straight and stops well. On race gas, I hope for closer to 1400 hp (more boost and timing). Powerglide with Chance converter, Moser 12 bolt with 3.73 gears on a spool, stock type suspension with adjustable arms on rear. 4 wheel disc brakes. Currently on 295/65 M/T drag radials. All steel except for hood. No lexan. Mineral Gray paint. Tagged with regular plates and insured. Big goofy grin on my face whenever I take it out for a drive. Even bigger when I get to the track.
