I've only had my '70 for a little over a year, so I'm certainly not an authority on El Caminos, but I just now noticed that while 1970 El Caminos have vent windows, 1970 Chevelles do not. Is this true of all '70 El Caminos and Chevelles?

If my recollection is correct all vent windows went away in Chevy cars in 1968. They were replaced with Astro Ventilation. They did however stay in most pickup trucks until '88 but left the El Camino models in '74.
Hopefuley I have these dates all correct.

The Chevelle coupes lost their vent windows in a '69 re- style and went to Astro Ventillation. The Caminos and wagons didn't get the restyle, so they retained the vent windows. The front fenders are also different: on the coupes they curve outward from top to bottom (look at the rear of the front fenders to see this). The wagons and Caminos have fronte fenders that are much more flat at the rear top to bottom. The fenders will not interchange.
