Can any one tell me if these plastic strips that fit in the horn pad on the steering wheel of my 79 camino are available . Mine are missing.
Thanks Jim

I think I've come to the realization that I'm not going to find one intact and that I'm just going to piece one together from several.

Ernie Thanks for the reply, I will try to make my own, mabe out of piping used in seat covers and soak it in silver paint. The wheel was sticky also i got it clean but if it comes back I wrap it or replace. Thanks Jim

On my 82 Elky I just used a coat hanger cut and bent to the proper shape and length. It just sort of friction fits into the slot and stays there. Looks almost like a factory type piece. Cheap too! :-D

No, it was a metal coat hanger.

That way you can gently bend it to the shape you need to fit the horn pad and it will stay in that shape.

You could paint it if you felt it necessary.
