I have had my 1980 for a little over 2 years. Bought it on Ebay for 1600.00 and have driven it for the last couple years as it was. It went in my shop two weeks ago for a rebirth. Going to have Hugger Orange paint with all chrome parts either powder coated black or painted black. Rally wheels will be black as well. The only chrome on the car will be the center caps and beauty rings on the wheels. I am going to try to post some pics as to the process. Oh yeah, all new interior also. The hood will have a Harley Davidson bar and shield painted on it also.

i'm not big on orange but you can't go wrong with harley bar and shield can't wait to see picks sounds like it'll be 8) 8) good luck on your rebirth

Thanks, I posted some pics of where we are so far also in the members cars gallery. My first car was a 1969 Ford Galaxy 500 fast back and was orange...not sure if that is what caused my like for the color orange, but i love orange bikes, cars, trucks, clothes...about anything orange...LOL.

As for sports teams?? Do you like them becasue of their colors?? Alot of them have orange colors in them like the Syracuse Orangemen, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Cincinatti Bengals to name a few.
As for your El Camino cant wait to see the pics of your progress. It sounds like its going to be an awesome looking ride :)

Na, does not translate to sport teams...lol. Made a change in the last couple days. I decided I would go ahead and take out the engine and tranny, paint the engine compartment and engine and have the tranny gone through. I keep on making more work for us. It will be worth it though. New pics tomorrow in the members cars section.
