can anyone give me step by step instructions on installing a new fuel pump and filter on a 85 elky conquista, are there any special tools needed and how long will it take to install any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

On any car that doesn't have smog equipment, it's a snap 30-45 max. On my 87, there's so much crap shoved in the engine comaprtment it's difficult to get to unless you have a lift. More like two hours :mad:

Are you adding a fuel filter? There's already one in the carb where the fuel line attaches. Replacing that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

I can change out my pump in around 15. Two fuel lines, two mount bolts. When you install one make sure the pump rod is seated on the arm as it goes in.
