I was just woundring how do you clean or buff like the head light bezels turn signal lenses ect I have just bought my 78 and some kid spray painted the whole car and did not mask off anything and I want to get this looking nice and repainted

Could you post a close-up picture please?

On the chrome parts you should be able to use paint remover. Don't let it get on painted plastic or colored plastic that does not have chrome on it.

I would not use solvents or paint remover on plastic lens. you should try sanding the paint off starting with 280 grit wet sandpaper and continue with 320 and then 400 then 600 and then 1200 or 1500. You can then buff out the lens with plastic polish designed to remove haze and small scratches. Novus 2 and NicSand sanding gel 10,000 grit are two good products to polish plastic.

Another thing to consider would be simply replacing the parts. Things such as headlight bezels, parking and directional lenses, etc. are not that expensive and simple to replace. Considering all the work involved in removing the paint I'd say look into the cost of replacement first, could save you a lot of aggravation.
