Another newb question if I may...

I just ripped out (carefully) all the electrical wires in my 69'. Wasn't easy!
I plan to buy a complete new wiring harness...BUT,

Are there any pieces of the original wiring/electrical set up I should keep?

The fuse box? Anything?

Thanks,

Mike.

Mike, I have installed a harness from Painless, as well as a kit from It'S a Snap, both of which were COMPLETE units, Bumper to Bumper. That of course does not include light sockets ect. The harness you removed would not take up much room if you roll it up and store it short term in a box until you have completed the new install. Then trash it. Murphy, as in "Murphy's Law" sometimes could come into play, if you get my drift. Play it safe, don't throw out any of the old until you are sure you won't need any of it. [ You didn't say what brand of Harness you were planning on getting, and this is in no way meant to place any one over the other, BUT ---- The Painless I installed was far less pain-less than the It's a Snap ] Good luck in your re-wiring- It's a Snap and really quite Painless !
OH and they DO include the Fuse Panel.

2 cents.

As a general rule, don't remove an unfamiliar part until you have the new one to replace. :-)

Take care.

Woot, thanks guys.

"Painless" sounds good to me, and I of course kept the original.
