Need to door mechanisum repairs which require an R&R of the windows and it has been 18 years sense I removed a window from any Gen 3 (69). Just looking for some brain jogging hints does and don't.

84, I figured you would come up with a better answer "like use a bigger hammer". This is what happens when you ask 5th Gen guys a real question. Just wait your day is coming? Hope the car is going well and see you in the upcoming months somewhere

Its been a looong time for me too. But if my alcohol soaked mind remembers right the wing vent and front channel comes out first and then the rest falls out kinda like a jigsaw puzzle.

After doing some get ready work, and studing the door with panels off. I started to remember more about the build 18 years ago when I had more desire and energy. For some reason I was trying to convence myself that there was a way to slide the rollers off the upper track and the window would come out. But the picture I got from my visual said just what you just said vent and front track out and then you get the window. I lot of work to change the glass track rubber felt. But I am installl a sound shield and deadner layer so it needs to be done know.

Thanks and I think you are right

So did anyone help you with that? I need to do the same thing to replace a broken wing window gear.
