Is there any onsite,or otherwise, info on how to correctly place and attach bed siderails onto an '84 Elky? Mine did not have these as original equipment. Thanks

I just know someone is going to give you those measurements and attachment methods, but maybe it's too dark and cold to get them right now. I would but since I don't have those rails...... Come on people some of you live where it's warm.

why dont you go to a pic from the members gallery here- my '85 with them is there-, enlarge it with explorer 7 (free download) use that as template. Drill 1/16" holes, go to boat supply store, purchase chrome flat head screws (bring rail for good measure) done deal.

DougWell, now its pouring down rain again here.we are getting a few feet,no,not inches, feet of snow over 2 days here in our local Cascade Mtn range. I think I'll have to rent a storage unit,& put my vette in there,so I can use my measly one-car garage to fix my El Camino.

Search (http://www.elcaminocentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=search) is your friend. This has been discussed before. Read this thread.

http://elcaminocentral.com/ftopict-20596.htmlThanks! I was just about to do that, too! That link helps immensely, being new to Elkys & not seeing an Elky in person with the rails,I really didnt know what to line them up on. Is this the tool referred to in that thread? -> http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=1210
