I will attempt to replace the shift lever back onto the steering column soon, but I need to know what is necessary for this job? Somebody put in a B & M floor shifter. Although this shifter may look cool, it takes up valuable passenger space. Plus it is not even close to factory for a possible restoration. I will not start my tyraid on what was this person thinking. I've been told that there is a bracket on the base of the steering column? Any cable, or linkage changes needed for an automatic transmission? I'm sure there is much I'm missing. Any help will help.

I cannot help you much but I can feel your confusion. Some one pulled out the 4 speed and replaced it with an automatic. Hope your having better luck than I at finding linkage :?
