Does anyone know of who makes custom door panels for 6.5" door speakers? Or, has anyone monted a set of 6.5" door speakers, and how did you do it?

you could cut hole in the door panel for the speakers, the speakers should come with a template for the hole and the holes for the mounts. Its been awhile since i've done it but a few years ago i put new door speakers in my dads 69 nova. But it originaly came with door speakers, but i had to use the template to enlarge the holes and to mark the holes for the mounts. I would think that you could install speakers in the bottom front of the lower door panel without any interference with the window or window track.

The mounts may be as simple as "U-clips" that slide on the panel at the edge of the speaker hole and the speakers attach to them...or there ARE some rather elaborate support frames that are available (and not necessary unless you're gettin' REALLY serious about sound quality, or into some SERIOUS power)
