Hey everybody got a question. 83 Elco w/ idiot lights, I was driving last week and looked down and saw the oil and volts light on. Found that the guage fuse will blow right away when key turned on, it actually sparks! The oil and volts lights will stay on with the guage fuse out and car running. The check engine, and brake light will not come on with the key on, but the brights indicator will come on when switched to brights. All other lights working ok. Looking at the wiring diagram I see that fuse circuit (pink w/black stripe wire) goes to many components under the dash. Tried to trace that wire under dash lookng for any kinks or rubbed away insulation, but found nothing. Is there any thing under the hood that I should look for? Could it be something with the ignition switch? OH yea I did hook up a mechanical oil guage and getting 30psi at idle, just to rule that out. This is a great site here, keep it up!!
