Anyone out there got a working Delco radio AM/FM cassette for an 87 el camino? I am trying to put mine back stock.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah I got a working one on my '87 with only 19,800 miles on the Elky. I am going to put a din and one half CD/cassette player that I have in it. I was planing on storing the Delco. What is it worth to you?

Did you happen to read this thread?

What is it worth to you? That was a definite well made purchase.

Well darn it. Make me an offer, I have to be persuaded. And don't low-ball it. Like I said, I was planning on storing it, just as I am storing the original radio that came in my 64-1/2 Mustang convertible.

I believe there was a lot of GM Vehicles that used this radio. Finding one and finding one thats works will be the trick.

I don't want to tempt you to sell it. Everything that I ever didn't want to sell and did, I regretted. You have a super nice truck. I found a place here close that does refurbs on older Delco radios. Thanks for the conversation.

Wouldn't one from an 82 to 92 Camaro of FIrebird work? I know they used the Big DIN sized square hole. Probably get a nice factory CD deck off Ebay that somebody reconditioned.

I remember taking one of those apart from an 87
Grand AM I owned. Found out the CD player section was a Blaupunkt and the tuner section was marked BOSE.

Last year I got a replacement for my 1987 - not exactly the correct one that came in the car, but a 1987 Cadillac one. Looks almost the same, has the same sized fittings in the back so the factory harness plugs right in, also has the built in graphic equalizer and I'm sure more amps than the original one had. Only thing I did was pull off the front faceplate, switch my Chevy push buttons instead of the Chrome Caddy ones and replace the Cadillac knobs with the original Chevy ones. Looks almost the same as the Chevrolet optional one with graphic equalizer that came in some of the Monte SS, not sure if it was an option in the Camino or not but fits like original and sounds much better. Good news was the price, Caddy one cost $25 + shipping, but Chevrolet with eq usually sell for at least $100 or more.
