I'm going to the GM Nationals at Carlisle this year. It would be great to see region 4 strongly represented.

Can you make it?

Barry,

I'm going up for th spring show as well as th GM Nationals. I won't be taking the Elky in the spring. This will just be a day trip. As for the GM Nationals in June, I know that Leo and I will be there again this year.

Last year I camped out with my nephew and had a great time. I may do that again this year. We met up every day at the El Camino section. Last year we had a good turn out, 10. It pales in comparison to how many we could get there.

There are a few folks working on items for the 50th in June 2009. We might have the club banner for the 50th at this year's show to help promot interest. Did you go to last year's show?

By the way, what part of the region are you in?

Jim

Sorry that I didn't get back to you earlier. Last year was my first GM Nationals at Carlisle. We had 9 Elky's and it was divided into 2 classes, first and second generation and third thru fifth generations. The event lasts Thursday thru Sunday with judging on Saturday and awards on Sunday. We had a great time and look forward to a better turnout in 2008. The more vehicles that we have, the more classes that will be available. I'd like to see five gen stock classes and five modified gen classes. We would probably need 50 to 75 entries to get that done but the more the better.

Hope you sign up.
