So I did the whole complete aftermarket ignition purchase. I got a Mallory 6AL ignition module, Comp S/S 32 distributor, and a Promaster e coil from a guy who bought them and changed his project and needed a different set. All new components and I saved like 200 bux. And a set of MSD superconductor wires from the local store. Anway, I was wondering how anyone who got these things set them up. I'm just wondering about placement and such. I'm pretty certain all this stuff is waterproof, or so it says in the instructions. I was thinking on fabbing up a new little mounting bracket to bolt onto the wheel wheel. They 6AL box and the coil would be next to each other on it, is that ok? Is this a good idea? If anyone has pictures of setups of how they did their ignitions they'd be quite useful. Thanks, much obliged.

That would be fine ~~~~~ just don't mount the 6AL close to exhaust manifold or Headers, Mine is located on a fender well, alot have been mounted to the Fire Wall, room permitting, Just keep in mind the 6AL, as well as others DON'T LIKE HEAT.

when you mount the coil, be sure that if it is sideways you mount it so the terminals are at the bottom, so that on the inside they will be soaked with the oil to keep them cool.
