my turn signal switch is going bad and im needing to change it out with a new one..it will push down and left signal will work but if i push up it wont do nothing.. i used to have to hold it up every time i wanted a right signal but now nothing..how do you change it out and where would be a good place to find a new one ..im working on a 85 el c... thanks guys

Good luck. I took the unit apart thinking that was my problem too. I had to remove the steering wheel, retaining ring, sheild, cancel cam and switch just to learn the font right bulb socket was wired backwards.
If it worked before then it is probably bad contacts, loose wire or a broken cam. Besure to tighten the tilt wheel bolts while you are in there. Don't lose any screws down the steering column. Take pictures at each stage to help with re-assembly. Grease the cam.
I had a machinist at work make a tool to help put it back together. It took me 3 tries to get mine re-assemled correctly. It was almost 2 years ago and it still works fine.
