I put a new pioneer cd player in my 85 elky. The problem that i run into is that i can't seem to find a constant power source(something to remember time, radio presets, and that fun stuff). The radio doesn't turn on when the car does but shuts off when the car does. what did i do wrong? Thanks!!

Does this system require 2 positive (+) sources or 1?

If you don't use your cigarettelighter too often just tap into that, I think thats wat I did i think it was an orange wire.

There should be one "constant" 12V source (to keep the clock and radio presets), and one "switched" source that should have 12V only when the ignition is in the "ON" position.

Use the orange or center wire on your lighter for the constant source (probalby a yellow wire from the radio), and find a switched circuit on the fuse box such as the RADIO fuse for the other (probably a red wire from the radio).
