I just bought new clips to put my bed moldings on and i cant figure out how to put on the top molding. I put the clip inside the molding and try and put it on but it doesn't reach far enough and i don't want to scratch the paint by putting the clip on first then slididing it on the molding. Please I could use some help.

The clips go on the body first, then snap the molding onto the clips.
