ok i have no idea what i should do. and i dont think i am goin to get the same power with a supercharger that i will with a turbo. i need some feed back from some actual el camino people.

Do you drive it every day, or just on weekends at the drag strip? Or somewhere inbetween?

right in between. i mean im lookin to make it a straight drag car but untill then its my daily as bad as that sounds to do to an elky.

Free horsepower !

blower motor all the way stick that thing through the hood, just my opinion but you just cant beat the badass look of a super charger

Turbo's are great for free horsepower but you need to have a good intercooler to keep the power delivery consistent. In Central AZ they're not too great in 115 degree summers.

Superchargers do take power but they give it back too. Thing is you need to account for the amount of power that supercharger is gonna take to spin up and give you the boost. Stick a supercharger on a 190 horse crate motor and you're bound to be disappointed without some mods.

I am definitely doing modifications to it. i am getting new cams, crank, intake, carb. And yes for those of you who do not know yet, this is a 305. This is my car from my grandfather. He wants it to be a track car but never had the knowledge to do it. Out of respect for him is why i am keeping that engine.
