I just got a 79 el camino for $700 and have already spent $2,000and up on it the only thing i need is a new fan shroud for my 350 :D and door handles i just got a new bumper and I would like to now if anyone new where i could find the parts i need.......If you wanna see pics of it just add me to your yahoo messenger and ask me my yahoo id is shaggy_moose79 :cool:

Make it easier to show people pictures. Go to Members Cars and then the 5th gen area and make an album for yourself.

Most of the parts you want are avalible from the vendors listed in the vendors section, ebay, or I can look up the part numbers in a parts book I have and post them. Then you can get them from a dealer or gmpartsdirect.com.

I finally got my pics they are under 5th gen. last one in the thing

The door handles are pretty common for GM so you should be able to pick them up at PepBoys or AutoZone O'Rilley's or somewhere like that. Lots of the "Common" parts are carried at the local auto supply stores. Door Handles, window cranks, switches for the electric windows and door locks, hinge pins things like that.

Yea I know but I got it at a yard sell and I really dont do electrical stuff and I got some awesome 8 tracks like ac/dc back in black and pink floyd :D dark side of the moon

Before you install it in your Elky you should bench test it with a car battery and some speakers. Who makes it? Is it a GM stereo? Is there a drawing on it of the wiring? What color are the wires?

Chances are 50/50 that the 8 track tapes are junk. I still have an 8 track stereo in my garage. I pick up used tapes at flea markets and yard sales for a quarter each. Most don't work but I have picked up some good ones too.

Man, that shows our age. I still have a bunch a 8 tracks & a player in my storage building. I haven't tried them in years.
