Can someone answer me posssibly a stupid question? I would like to know
how you know what generation elky you have. This is my FIRST one.I bought it for ME for x-mas.It is a 1967 candy blue,just BEAUTIOUS elky I have ever seen.I've wanted one for probaly 20 years....I am now totally HAPPY! :-D

Your 67 is a 2nd Generation.

The division between generations happened when GM built a "Whole new car" from the frame up, not just a cosmetic sheet metal change like the difference between say a 64-65 and a 67-67 Elky.

The generations go like this:

1st Gen: 59-60
none built 61-63
2nd Gen: 64-67
3rd Gen: 68-72
4th Gen: 73-77
5th Gen: 78-87 - then no more . . . .

Your 67 sounds great . . . . good for you.
