i have a 78 and i am having a problem with the drivers side headlight being dim whilst the passengers side is quit bright when i turn high beams on the drivers side stays the same (more dim than normal) while the passengers side is high beam, what could be causing this?
and on another note when i turn the right turn signal on the tail lights blink in unison (both LH & RH at the same time), but when i turn the left turn signal on it blinks normal. know what might be causing this?

Bad grounds. I have an '85 and '87 so can't help you on the locations, but check all wires that are attached to the body near the lights.

thats exactly what i was thinking ..i grounded the two on the exact same place on opposite sides (they are attached to a bolt that holds the fenders to the radiator holder.) i'll double check them again to be sure. try grounding them somewhere else.
would you happen to have any idea what would be causing the turn signal to malfuction?

Bad grounds can do weird things. But you also might have a defective turn signal switch. See what you have after the grounding problem is solved. Also on the dim light problem check the contacts on the lights and plugs for corrosion. sometime just unplugging and reconnecting will make a fresh contact, but I would suggest brighting up the contacts with fine sandpaper or steel wool.

Check the grounds for the taillights too. I had a 79 Camaro Berlinetta that had a bad taillight ground that caused the front parking lights to come on when I hit the brake... No kidding, I actually kind of liked it but I was also a teenager at the time...

ok i fixed the headlight (it was just a bad ground) its in the same place just connected better? i guess but thats done.
i just replaced all the lights on the back (except the reverse lights which one is it and how do i change them?) and i noticed some exposed wires on the drivers side, i repaired them hoping that was the cause for the turnsignal malfunction ...but it wasnt =[ still checking things out if you have any idea of what might be causing it feel free to post a suggestion. everyones help is greatly appreciated. just tryin to get these lights fixed so that i can get the thing inspected (after droppin about 3 grand into it and still cant) lol

so i finally figured out what was wrong with the tail lights hmm seemed to have been a disconnected wire on the harness connected to the steering column ..should have looked there first
so now its inspected insured and registered
and currently in the transmission shop getting the TH350 rebuilt with a street/strip shift kit and upgraded torque converter :D
