Last night at the Tower Shops I found one that is real competition for that under hood chrome contest you got going. You might get some ideas from this guy. Or give him some lol.

I see a lot of cars at shows like this, especially Grand Nationals. Someone buys every bit of chrome they can find with no planning involved. Personally I think it's way too much.

I've actually begun thinking lately of going totally black in the engine compartment... engine, firewall, tubing, everything. But shiny black not dull. Could look kind of cool and it would be different.

You got any idea how big bird droppings are from a six foot tall bird? Thank God Ostriches don't fly! 8)

First thing he forgot to use was an "EL CAMINO". Very nice the one thing is for sure I have way more original parts chromed, most of his is off the shelf. But most people would pick this nova for the fact, it is more speed related than a stock engine dressed and equipment not moved. I get my looks and he has got to get all he wants. Not like no one comments on your neat conversion, anyone can chrome something but taking a Buick and wrapping an Elky over the top of it is real work.

I have seen that nova in the tower shops many times it is a bid overdone in my opinion. I went with the black look in my 65 elky in the engine compartment I like it much better than chrome, now if you see my harley that is a whole different story.....

Your right Jay, I am just giving you a hard time. I agree with Al the chrome on the Nova is over done.

That is correct you guys, when you do the small block like that for some reason it balls up the chrome with nothing to seperate it, no paint and such. But when you do the sheet metal in high gloss black than the chrome goes wild and the engine bay is smaller also. It is still an nice job and if he likes it than all is cool.
