i want to lock up the differential so it isnt open... what specific type locker and gear ratio sounds legitamate for it? i have a 305 right now with an edelbrock intake manifold, holley 650 cfm carb, MSD distributor, and racing cam installed... its pretty beefy, but im buying a chevy 383 short block this summer. i was thinking a 373 posi track sounded pretty nice...
help im new to this group and pretty much puzzled about what to do.

Welcome to ECC, Niq. There is alot to consider here. Do you have an overdrive trans? What use will the vehicle see, street or strip or both? To lock up the diff, an LSD or a locker will both do the job. If you are going to change gears, then the clearances will need to be set up so the labor will be the same. Without a gear change, the labor will be less with a locker.
