Hi All
On the look out for wheel tyre package for my 78 elk.
any suggestions (constructive..) on how to start looking.
I need to know PSD and offset for gen 5. :?

HQ - WB PCD: 5 on 120.65mm (4.75"), Offset 30 mm

I am really getting confused with inches and back spacing?
I understand HQ fit 120.65 (4.75) but the only wheels I can find for sale are mainly in 14/15 inches and also 5 to 5.5 back spacing which is 25 to 40mm off set..

I am more looking for around 17 to 19 rims. have found a few packages on ebay but seller can not confirm fitment.

Also Width, do anyone have experiences with a 5th Gen is 8inch to wide

Any help is appreciated, I have searched and come up with some answers but still lacking the ANZ input..

Cheers guys
KP

Geeze, I missed this post, sorry about that.

These days the HQ to WB wheel configurations are getting harder to find and therefore very limited in size & style. I was not interested in going to big diameter wheels myself but there are some options out there I am told. The Tyre Factory was offering me the option to use wheels with no stud holes pre-drilled that they could adapt.

I bought my 15 x 8 set from Canterbury Tyres. The 300C guys recommend Tempe Tyres in Sydney.

Good luck with it.

Cheers John,
Being pretty busy myself with work.
living in the country makes it more difficult to find wheels as I am still not sure on correct back spacing, I have been reading from 3.75 to 5 inch With the current rims (on medium size bumps) I get rubbing against the guards, so even hq for I have issues although it has been dropped a few inches all round.
So will take it to a local tyre shop for figment and advice.

Due to the car being a black knight (black on black) I am trying to find rims with a black spoke and chromed rim, but think is it going to be hard so might have to settle for an old school chrome set up??

Whole car is reasonably low budget so might give tyre factory a call and check out cost if not will shop locally and see what I can find.
Thanks for response
Oz C

Took the plunge and ordered wheels from USA

Local could guys could not help much, even tempe tyres

With the strong oz dollar it works out about the same
although these come in staggered 17 x 8 and 17 x 9
I asked for a full 17 x 8 with 4.5 inch back spacing

They guaranteed fittement on my elc so fingers crossed.

Let me know what you think

Mate they are a really nice looking wheel. I would have gone the same way as you on a black El Camino like yours. The design is right for the period too.

Top shelf.

Hey, wheels have touched down but an now trying to clear them through customs. Was going to try and do the brokerage myself but once I started looking in to it, forget about it. establish digital secure connection to Customs house... enough said

So have paid an additional 250 on top of 800 for wheels and delivery

hope they fit........... 8O
