does anyone have a drawing of the instrument cluster -connector, need to know which pin and color wire and it's function, el camino ss 1974

almost, I mean the connecor which connect to that one, the one in the dash.......

my tacho isn't working , so want to measure the wires, but don't know which is the ground, 12v and the tach signal and what color they have

hillbilly,how did you get the white part out.i got the black faceplate out but i took out all the bolts i could see and it was still in there.the reason is the speedometer cable is driving me nuts with the noise it makes.thanks.

Marcel, I'll try and make a drawing of which pin on the connector
goes to where, no time to go to the garage tonight though.

rci2990, you got a -76 classic, great choice, that's what I've got.
The "white part" is held in place with two nuts, indicated in the image
below. Also make sure you remove the wire to the speed indicator,
see image. As you pull the "white part" out, reach behind it to disconnect
the speedometer cable or you won't get it out very far.
