I was surfing Ebay Motors and look what I found . . . .

Apparently there was an Elky before 1959 . . . . .

Here's what the notes for the car say:

"This vehicle was shipped from Austrailia in 2002. There are very few of these UTE'S here in the United States. This is a production car built in Austrailia by General Motors and features right hand drive with a 3-speed manual shift on the colum. This car has a good running six cylinder motor with original six volt system."

Who knew? It's not bad if you like the early 50's style Chevy . . .

I have seen a picture of what looked like a 55 or 56 Dodge or Desoto Ute at Carlise, Had to look twice !!

Holy sh*t!!! I was just thinking of doing that to my '52 Chevy sedan just two days ago!!! Thats looks to friggin cool! I think I just found the motivation I need for a killer project!!! 8) 8)

yeap utes have been here for god knows how long. orignaly made by ford. But you will be gettin the new utes soon. I think :?
