Good news, I just got the word, expanded El Camino classes for next week's GM Carlisle will now be:
Gen 1-2
Gen 3-4
Gen 5
That's three classes opposed to only two in past years, Gen 1-2 and Gen 3-4-5. Last year we had one car in one class and 10 in the other. This new grouping should give us a better distribution and give everyone a better chance of winning a trophy.
Now guys, don't make me look foolish... let's see a good showing this year in preparation for the 50th in '09! If we do well we may even get to expand classes further and even get separate stock and modified classes next year.
This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Impala so it's a good opportunity to see what a big venue like Carlisle can do with a 50th.
