Hi all, I am acquiring my third 5th generation El Camino. This one appears to be a baseline model, but the drive train is all that an SS should be. I intend to add a front air dam, paint the lower portion (red/maroon) apply decals, etc. AND I want to add the unique 78 partial vinyl roof.

My question is who did the optional vinyl roof on the 78 SS's? I have seen three of them, 2 in Connecticut, and one in Kansas. Each had a red leather interior, buckets, a 4 speed on the floor, black paint upper, red paint lower, and that partial vinyl roof. SS decals of course.
