Has anyone ever used this combo? How do you hook the speedo cable back up? The Hurst shifer linkage is right in the way! Is there and offset part of some sort I need? I know they used these shifters all the time in '69, but I'm not sure how they got the speedo cable around/through the linkage. Any help is appreciated! Thanx!

Are you sure it's a '69 GM 4 speed? All Muncie 4 speeds I've seen, and the '67 Muncie M20 4 speed I'm putting in my '56 wagon project has the speedo cable hookup on the opposite side of the tail housing from the shifter. No problem for the Hurst Competition Plus shifter I'll be using.

There might be a possibility that the transmission is a 4 speed Saginaw.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Saginaw 4 speeds. It could be one of these. Not a good performance transmission. Don't do any power shifts with one or you could leave parts behind.
