Hello :)
Time has come for me to redo the floor pans and my bench is worn out.. So i thought i might just switch to buckets to save my back ! I was looking around and i can't find something vintage at a good price. So i thought i might look for something less old but i have no idea what i should look for. Best not-vintage buckets for a '79 guys?
Thanks :D

I would recommend 78 to 87 Monte Carlo, Regal, Cutlass, Grand Prix or El Camino since they are fairly abundant & were even available as an option.

82 up F-body buckets will bolt to G body tracks if you come across a nice set. Leather was an option for some of these cars if you like that sort of thing.

I put some 97 Firebird leather, power, with lumbar buckets in my 83. With no problem. I also got a 2003 Monte Carlo center console that fit in with just a little trimming on the bottom.
Tou can see them in my gallery link below.

Yea your buckets look nice. Did you have to drill any hole??

N body seats (Cavaliers, Grand Ams, Cobalts etc) fit pretty easy also plenty around to choose from in boneyards and they're cheap! Keep in mind though, if you have a one piece bench, you will need to add inner seat brackets for buckets and if you are replacing your floor pans you will need all four brackets welded in the right location. If you heve a 60/40 split bench seat, all four brackets are already there and in the right location for buckets.
