: Official 50th Anniv. hotel
LeoC2 09-02-2008, 01:31 PM For those of you wishing to stay at a hotel that is close to the fairgrounds and right in the middle of Carlisle we have reserved a block of 10 rooms in the name of NECOA. The rooms are reserved for June 25-26-27 2009
The hotel is the Comfort Suites, rate is $142 per night. They have garage parking where you can clean up and do any work on your car you want. The hotel is within walking distance of many local restaurants and pubs and is only about a mile from the Carlisle fairgrounds.
Of course you can make reservations at other hotels but you have to reserve NOW to get rooms and the price is abvout the same. For cheaper prices you need to go about 10 miles or more out of town.
So, the rooms are reserved under the NECOA name so allyou need to do is call them and mention you want one of NECOA rooms and you've got it. Theh deadline is May 25, 2009 so you have some time. The beauty of this is that we are together as a group and you don't have to worry about getting that reservation in 10 months ahead of time!
To reserve you need to cal the hotel directly, not the toll free main reserve line. The number to call to reserve the room in your name is 717-960-1000
I always stay at this hotel when in Carlisle, it's clean, convenient, you get a nice big free breakfast, rooms are all minisuites.

Elky 83 09-02-2008, 09:19 PM Ifee bad that I won't be able to make it. Just to far and to much wear and tear on my Elky. But Leo, you are just too much!! You make it mighty easy for those who are coming. Good luck to all of you, and I hope you get some good pictures. Think of me when you look up at the 5th generation Elky on the banner.
Mike
hemi57 09-03-2008, 01:57 AM Tempting Leo, very tempting. Paula and I have never been to the US in June.
Too far to bring my EARLE along though.
LeoC2 01-24-2009, 05:15 PM Just a reminder that for those of you coming to the 50th Celebration at Carlisle and wishing to stay at the Comfort Suites mentioned above you should call now and reserve. Rooms fill up fast at Carlisle so don't delay.
83NHElky 02-07-2009, 11:16 AM Leo,
I am planning on attending with my father in-law. What is the schedule of events? Is the show on Saturday or Sunday? I have read in another thread that the events are on Friday and Saturday, but the Carlisle website says the GM Nationals are teh 26-28th. I see that you are reserving rooms for the 25-27th. Please clarify.
Thanks,
Allen

The show is three days June 26-28, Friday to Sunday. The hotel rooms are reserved for 25-27, that is, Thurs., Fri., and Sat. night. Of course you can take any one or two nights also, there is no obligation to arrive on Thursday. Just mention NECOA when registering so they can keep track. We only have 10 rooms reserved so anyone wishing to stay here should reserve now.
Friday we all hang and BS and stuff. Sat. is a judging day where the officials come judge the cars at some point. Sunday morning you find out if you won anything and you can optionally stay for the awards ceremony.
Saturday day we will all judge each other's vehicles and vote on our favorites in a number of categories. Saturday night we have a banquet dinner in town (separate checks to everyone, order off the menu) where we will present trophies to the winners of this vote. Other things may also happen at the dinner such as raffle prizes if we can get enough stuff donated.
IMPORTANT: register early and mention NECOA as the club.
Steve81OR 02-21-2009, 11:35 PM I was able to block 10 rooms for the Canby Oregon show, the rooms are reserved for July 17th & 18th (friday and saturday nights) at the Days Inn & Suites at 8855 SW Citizens Dr, Wilsonville OR.
When calling, tell them you would like a room reserved for NECOA. I have reserved 6 rooms with one King bed ($79 per night), and 4 rooms with two beds ($89 per night).
For more details about rooms, call the Days Inn at (503) 682-9000

Well we have the Comfort Suites reserved but if you need cheaper there are a number of motels in the area. I suggest checking with hotels.com and seeing what they come up with.
Pro Street Garry 03-01-2009, 02:43 PM Hi Leo,
I was wondering if the Hotel had trailer parking? If I do end up going I'd stay Thursday-Sunday night. I know that I can park it at the fairgrounds for the weekend but was wondering about the day before and after the show.
Thanks Garry
LeoC2 03-01-2009, 03:38 PM Hi Leo,

I know that a trailer won't make it into the garage but they might be able to accommodate you nearby. Give them a call and ask 717-960-1000
