Looked through all your pics. Nice...
I'll have to upload the pics of my elky painting progress to the gallery some time. Got them all just jumbled on photobucket right now.
What did you think of the fiberglass fenderwells? Also Was looking at the pics of your bed. Pic 107. I see you put filler on top of your primer not sure what kind of primer it is either.
I have always been leary of putting filler on anything but bare steel. I mavy me elky in epoxy primer and am going back when I can and sanding off the epoxy and filling those dings then top coating it with epoxy again.
I'm not that good at body work and really don't want to be :) But it is nice when you get a spot done and you can't tell it was done. Course if I was better at it it would take less time....
Anyway my pics can be seen here right now. http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l206/elcam84/

The primer is House of Kolor epoxy primer. You can put it under or over filler, it claims superior adhesion, and protection if used first (under your filler). Not all epoxies are like this, though. You need to check your tech sheets to see if putting filler over it is recommended.
As for sanding off the epoxy and repriming...it's part of the job to get it right! Guide coat, block sand, and reprime. Repeat until perfect!
Wheel wells not easy to work with-however, -they paint up very well..---not sure how they will stand up to the stress............I will let you know

I looked into using the HOK primer. Good deal for a multipurpose epoxy.
I'm just kind of leary of putting filler on epoxy but really it shouldn't be a problem. I can do it with my epoxy as well but...
I'm not a body guy and I'll be happy when I'm done with it.
Those fiberglass inner fenders don't look bad but I'm worried about flex and if you didn't put that undercoating on it I'd really be worried about cracks from rocks and lots of noise. I gotta find some kind of little mud flaps to keep the rocks from tearing up my new paint too..

As far as inner fenders go---they are the same as the body on a Vette-----you need to prep properly and undercoat---or, you risk the posibility of stars in the paint from rocks----
As far as the HOK primer-----this is what the custom shop uses on all his street rods and customs------as you can see from the photos in my album--he and his team are very concerned about attention to detail----if he says it works---I can assure you it works-----by the way he built a custom for the Detroit autorama and placed, and just won best custom truck at Lead Sled East in NJ----point being that body work is his passion.
Hope this helps

If I do another project I'm planning on using the HOK primer as it also saves you a few $ and I hear nothing but good about their products.
How did you fill the joint on the rocker panel to quarter panel. I had to dig out all the cracked seamsealer and I'm not sure how I want to fill that back in or if I want to smooth that out at all and just leave the joint.
