Hello,

I'm looking to have my car from home shipped to NV. Does anyone know if this beast will pass emissions. The car has a 305, non-CC quadrajet, no smog pump, no egr, new single cat, and a functioning charcoal canister. It did pass in Delaware where they do visual inspections (obviously they aren't to picky) so I have the tail pipe numbers if anyone knows what they need to be for NV. Has anyone passed with this sort of set-up in Nevada or will I have to add a smog pump and egr to be kosher? Oh, it was a v6 car originally, if that matters.

I beleave just pass the sniffer test and a clean air filter as well as a good seal on your gas cap for your 83.

It may depend on where you are going to live. Currently, only Clark Co ( Las Vegas area) and Washoe Co ( Reno Area) require smog (IIRC). You may get by out of the area, if they don't want to look it over too close to get registration here in state. You might check out this site:

http://www.dmvnv.com/nvreg.htm It is the home page for Nevada registration.

HTH, and welcome to the area. When you get here, be sure to give me a shout.
