Greets all.

My insurance company rang me this morning. After already agreeing to insure my El Camino, they now say that they want an appraisal. I'm wondering if anyone is aware of someone that does this in the Mountain Region, as I'm not real keen on taking the truck (burning the fuel actually) to Denver or Grand Junction for someone else's benefit. So selfish of me...

Thanks!

Get hold of an issue of Hemmings, there are tons of ads by appraisers. Or, why not just as your insurance company for a name?

Usually classic car insurance does not require an appraisal unless you're insuring for more than $25,000

I always forget about Hemmings....sheesh. I hesitated to even bother asking the insurance company, as I was thinking in terms of getting a more independent judgment.

As it turned out, the ins. co. just wanted me to voice a realistic monetary amount, like the NADA value, to write in on the policy.

...And I should get myself an issue of Hemmings to familiarize myself with what can be found within their covers.

Thanks Leo.
