The 1984 305 is going into the 78 El Camino tomm

I got a Qjet non computer carb on the way or might put a Holly 4160 on it not sure

also got a Vac advance dist..new plug wires hoses etc

I know if i use the holley i think i have to get a plate

and its hooking up to a 350 tubro the 305 org had a 700r4 on it

where does the vac advance for the dist hook up to?

do i have to get some kind of transmission kickdown cable bracket?

i dont have a kickdown trans now

The vaccume line will go to a nipple at the base of the Carburator, as far as the bracket, if you want the trans to be able to kick down into passing gear, you will need to have a bracket and cable, unless you wish to use the shift lever to drop a gear when you want to.
