Electriclife builds a decent window kit, they've been around at least 20 years that I know of. Never have installed one in a G-body, but have on several other vehicles. How much it set you back?

I got the same kit for my 80 and I opted for the "Joker" type switches, I liked those better.
My kit was $239.00 and the switch kits were extra. It comes with its own switches. Then I got free shipping.

I'll tell you what is pretty cool I think. They have these cheesy kits to convert the crank style windows, I have one in the 76, anyway I was thinking that on my 72 I could use those to do vent windows. That cheesy kit will work on the vent windows real well.

Jon let us know how the install goes. That's the same kit I'm planning on ordering in a few weeks.

it went great. very easy install. took about 2.5 hours with harness build/install. i also got the joker switches with illumination. the motors are very quiet and quick. im very happy with the conversion. the convenience is great. the only reason i went electric is because my cranks were stripped, and by the time i ordered new ones or found a donor car with some **** ones was a bad idea so i just opted to go new school.

Glad it worked out for you. That's one of the only options mine did not come with. It would be nice but it is not on my list of things to do.

Did the switches cover the crank holes?

yes.. heres a pic.. i guess i should take them off and paint them later but i was irritated with a switch just hanging out of a hole. :-D
