There will be a cruise in for all vehicle types in Oakboro, NC this Saturday, January 24, 2004. This is a year round event, happening on the fourth Saturday of each month thru March and on Friday evenings during the spring and summer months. For the winter months the event runs from noon til the last car leaves town. Oakboro is located about 30 miles east of Charlotte on highway 205 which is off of highway 24/27 (Albemarle Rd. for those of you familiar with the area). See the following link for info. It's now 11:05 a.m. The weather isn't looking so good. I'm thinking Sat. the roads are still going to be a mess. We'll just play it by ear.

I totally agree with you. I think we will still be digging out then. They are talking about close to a foot of snow . It's a bummer cause I was looking toward to it. Well next month we will have two events!

Man! I've got 18 inches here in York SC. I had thoughts of driving to Oakboro on Sat. but I can't even get out of my driveway! :cry: No chance of a snow plow coming by either. Should be melted in time for our Spring Meet & Greet! :lol: Hans

This is unreal isn't it? You know, that 4WD Elky that was on ebay recently doesn't look so bad right now. We could take it to Oakboro.

Of couse , there would be no one else there! The ONLY time of the year that I would need a 4by4. This will be gone in a few days & I will be glad. :) .

Man, I am really dugging these 70+ temp days. I hope this month is full of them, especially the 20!

I was planning on attending Oakboro on the 27th, to see if it may meet our needs for a future Meet & Greet!. It could develop into a monthly place for us to meet! 8)

I went out their for awhile today. I had the only Elky there! Their must have been 150+ cars mainly old muscle & classics. It was a cool place to hang out for awhile. Saw some nice rides. It will now be the fourth friday night of every month.
