I thought that was a 2 day event 12 days ago

the Chevy El Camino was introducted into the public in 1959 and the 50th Anniversary Celebration is in Oct 31, 2009. To date we have 57 vehicles registered already and they will be placed on the drag strip next to the stage where a big-budget rock band (with a 32 coupe) will play. 1500 vehicles, 5 bands, One awesome time. So register with us and join the fun.

OOHHH in 2009 I thought it just passed. That gives me a year to swop out my powerglide for 700r4 my 2bbl for a 4bbl with intake and slap headers on it. And if a get a chance to put on some new cylinder heads on you could bet your bottom dallor I'll be on that drag strip :-P

Entertaining the car enthusist at car shows have alwas been a problem for show promotors because they don't focus on the fact that many come from afar to gather and they need to be taken care of.

That is why we at are going to great expense to make sure that the 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway on Oct 31-Nov 1, 2009 is going to be memorable. 5 bands will play throughout the day leading up to the main concert featuring a major rock band with close ties to the hot rod world. Picture 2 rows of vehicles on the drag strip in front of the grand stands. Then throw in all-day, Open-Header cruising along the frontage road, and leave room for 65 acres of secured parking and overnight camping. I think you will enjoy the weekend and consider this event the one to be at. RRL
