I'm new to this site, the internet, computers, and the wonderful world of the Elky. I have a lot of catching up to do. I recently bought a '77 SS. The preveous owner had blown the origanal 305 and replaced it with a small block 400 (edelbrock carb and intake, Erson cam and heads, 1' headers to dual 2" pipes) How do you tell a "real" '77SS from a clone?

Thanks for the info. There doesn't seem to be alot of stuff about the '77'. Not to mention the fact that there aren't many around in decent shape. All the elky's around my neck of the woods are gen.V.
