Does anyone know of a company that either makes or CAN make custom dash and console inserts for an 85? I want to change it to either polished aluminun or possible a carbon fiber look instead of the factory woodgrain.

Secondly, my guage cluster has the speedo on the left and a clock on the right. I'd like to change the clock to a tach if possible. Any direction you guys can lead me to in order to do this if it's possible. Wanted to know how difficult it would be. Thanks!

Before I redid my dash with all Autometer guages I did exactly what you want to do. I used a GM tach, 5". I used an external mount tach, removed the mounting bracket, made a mounting bracket, a simple right bracket and attached it to the tach case with a large stainless steel clamp and attached the bracket to the guage pod housing, its plastic, in the appropriate place both laterally and vertically. You then run a tach wire to the distributor. Its reaaly quite easy once you get the guage pod taken apart.
