Are there any El Camino owners in the Reno / Lake Tahoe area? would love to see a club/meet started here.

Be sure and make reservaions to attend the Chevy El Camino's 50th Anniversary Celebration, Oct 31-Nov1, 2009 at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield CA. First ones to register will be parked on the drag strip next to the band stage in front of the bleachers. 5 bands, 1500 vehicles, 65 acres, One Awesome Time!

ok, I have a question...how do you get an El Camino club started in a town where no one but me (apparently) looks at ElCaminoCentral.com?

Ok, over the last 4 days, I have seen FIVE 5th gen, two 4th gen, and one 3rd gen Elkys driving around here on my way home from work...I'd love to start an El Camino club here in Reno, but it seems like these guys don't know about EC Central.

I just picked up a 1971 a couple weeks ago, and if there were a club in town, I would join. You might want to give craigslist a try to find other owners.

sounds like a good place to try...I was thinking about putting a flyer up over at Summit Racing, but I don't think they have their public bulletin board anymore. Of course, it will probably be summertime before I get enough money to get my Elky back on the road, so plenty of time to find people who might be interested. Are you also in Reno?
