Hey, just a work of thanks for all the info I have found so far. I have just bought a 1986 El Camino for my 15 year old son. It has a LT1 engine but we have some things to straighten out. I need to relocate the A/C compressor. :nanawrench:

I am new to the site as well, I have a 1980 and my son a 1982. I also have to switch sides as my A/C compressor brackets are for the right and have to relocate the alternator, with winter it does'nt seem to be a priority. Today is in the 70s.

Welcome to EC Central. You have found the best El Camino site that there is.
There are alot over very helpful people here. Unfortuntaly when it comes to 5th gen Elkys I'm sort of a newbe as well. I have a second gen myself, but my girlfreind as two 5th gens, a 79' and a 83' so I'm having to learn about them in order to help her.

Welcome to ECC. As 67elkybrian says, this is the best El Camino site. There is a heap of information here and "search" will often turn up what you are looking for but don't be afraid to ask questions and the member are only too willing to share their knowledge.
